When last refurbished the kitchen and servery facilities were given a face lift, still not addressing many operational issues in terms of food production, storage, dishwash and food service.  When asked to redesign the facility in September 07, little did we know how quickly EMI wanted to move on what turned out to be a major refurbishment.

We agreed a two phase approach dealing with the kitchen in the first phase and the servery in the second phase.

The first phase involved a complete strip out o fthe old kitchen and all its mechanical and electrical services.  After installing new mechanical ventilation, floors, walls and ceilings, the tricky stage of phase one began with the moving of existing (almost brand new) cooking equipment from their Wright's Lane site to Brook Green.

The kitchen was complete ready for the first week in January 08.

Only a period of 4 days over the Easter weekend saw the complete refurbishment of the servery.  Working around the clock, the contractors, AJ Contracts, organised new wall and floor coverings and we re-planned a total makeover of the servery counter, wherever possible using exsiting sections of the counter and recladding.

Our Client and EMI staff were highly delighted with the complete makeover in such a short space of time
