The premier Ladies College in the UK if not Europe, Cheltenham Ladies has approximately 800 girls in residence, it also provides education to over 300 day girls.
The former Day Girl Centre was totally inadequate to cope with these numbers in the short space of time allowed to take lunch. The College therefore recognised the need to build a new facility, which would allow up to 180 girls to be served and seated within 15 minutes (two sittings within 1 hour).
Our brief was to advise on the space required to serve, seat and provide dishwashing facilities for the provision of Day Girl Lunches. Working with both the College and their appointed architects (Dyer Associates - Cheltenham) we designed and specified the equipment capable of fulfilling a very demanding brief.
New Free Flow Servery
Once tendered we were appointed to oversee the catering equipment installation and acted as the Client representative during all planning meetings with architect and other professionals.
The end result was an extremely efficient servery, washup and dining area, which not only performs a daily service to the girls, but is so designed to allow 'out of school' marketing for what is also a very desirable function room.
